Andy Tijou has been with Epsom Hospital Radio since leaving university in June 2005.

You can listen to Andy Tijou on Epsom Hospital Radio every Sunday from 4 till 6pm.

Tune into Andy's show and you'll hear Andy's joke minute, this weeks stories of the week, Andy's Indie Anthems, on this day and some fantastic music including patients requests throughout the show.

Andy Tijou is also one of Epsom Hospital Radio's engineers, he has designed various marketing materials for Epsom Hospital Radio including this website and can often be found at our outside broadcasts.

Andy is currently training David Stocks how to present a radio show and how to use the studio.

What's your favourite genre of music?

I'm a big fan of indie and rock, I love bands like Muse, the Arcade Fire, Oasis, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, music like that and every now and again I try to sneak a song by some of those artists into my show.

When you're not at Epsom Hospital Radio, what are you doing?

During the day I'm a Schedules assistant for the BBC working in the London Radio Control Room, I'm also a sports journalist for Time 107.5FM in Romford. Other than that you'll find me relaxing with friends and family.

If you had £1,000,000 to spend on yourself and no-one else what would you spend it on?

I'd probably travel the world in luxury, buy an Aston Martin and use the rest of the money to buy a house.

What is your ideal holiday destination?

I do enjoy city breaks, I recently went to Lugano in Switzerland, which is is very picturesque and well worth a visit. I also went to Rome recently, which is an amazing city, really loved it there! I'd like to go to New York and having watched Top Gear at Christmas, I'd quite like to go for a drive through the Andies.

What is your favourite film?

The Shawshank Redemption is my favourite film, The Borat movie is my favourite comedy film. I like the Bourne Trilogy, Layer Cake, Naked Gun, films like that!

What is your favourite TV programme?

I like programmes like Top Gear, Ashes To Ashes/Life On Mars, Have I Got News For You, stuff like that.

Who is your favourite comedian?

I think Lee Evans, Jack Dee, Billy Connelly, Paul Merton, Frankie Boyle, Rhod Gilbert, Lee Mack, Tim Vine and Eddie Izzard are really funny.

Who is your favourite sports team/star?

AFC Wimbledon.

What is your favourite drink?

Tea/Guinness/Jack Daniels.

What is your favourite food?

I like Italian foods and mild curries but you can't beat fish and chips!

What inspires you?

The thought that someone is interested in what I'm saying, or is smiling because a song I'm playing has sparked a good memory.
