Every week I share with my listeners some crazy, obscure, yet funny stories that have happened around the world, as well up of the weeks regular news, an entertainment guide saying whats on thats any good over the coming weekend. I also reveal what happened on this day in history and provide general information and news of interest. And of course, I play some of the best music around!

Virgin Radio

In November 2005, I did three weeks of work experience at Virgin Radio, at Number One Golden Square in London. Portsmouth University's Radio Experience

September 2000 - June 2005

PURE:radio

Through out my time at PURE:radio, I have been involved with many different aspects of the station.

For the first year, I just did shows.

From the second to the fourth year I was Personnel Manager. This responsibility was to ensure that all new DJ’s were fully trained on all aspects of the studio, from the production desk to the CD players. Doing this was no mean feat, as every year we’d get 50 or so new students at the university who had no previous radio experience, all of which were trained to a competent level. Throughout my time as Personnel Manager I continued doing shows, often several times per week.

In my Fifth year at PURE:radio, I was the Station Manager. In this position, I took care of the day to day running of the station, as well as dabbling in other aspects, such as Technical – ensuring that the studio was to a working standard.

In the year I was in charge, the station also started broadcasting in the Union for the first time since it was rebuilt, the station got a brand new website and server from which to host it on, the Studio had a small re-fit and the output of the station became more professional.

I also continued to do shows in my fifth year, however dues to work commitments, this was scaled down to one a week.

Whilst at PURE:radio I also designed a couple posters and other printed media, here are a couple of examples of these which I still have.
